MDP Architecture specialise in designing and overseeing the construction of Residential Aged Care, Health, residential, commercial and industrial projects. Responsibilities include:

• Project Team Lead on Jardin SKY5 Stage 2, Frenchs Forest, NSW. A Senior Living Development for Platino Properties. Leading the Architectural team in the latter part of 70% Tender Documentation and into 100% documentation. The project is ongoing.

• Project Team Lead on Pathways Longueville RACF, Lane Cove, NSW. A mixed-use building comprising a 144 bed Residential Aged Care Facility with Commercial Tenancies. Compiled construction documentation through to 70% Tender as lead consultant. Progressing to 100% AFC facilitating full service coordination. Leading ‘during construction’ Architectural services. Estimated Completion: February 2025.

• Team member on CIVITAS Stage 2 Commercial, Waga Waga, NSW. A 5-level commercial office building with parkade for MLHD. Providing architectural services during the design development phase, including service coordination through to 70% tender documentation. Further involvement in value engineering. The project is ongoing.

• Team member on Georges Estate, Penshurst, NSW. A Residential Aged Care Facility for Hall & Prior. Acting as Superintendent to the contract, assessing EOTs, NODs, Payment Certificates as well as providing ‘During Construction’ Architectural Services. Project Completed 2021.

• Team member on Catholic Healthcare McQuoin Park, Wahroonga, NSW. A Senior Living Development for Catholic Healthcare. Providing full architectural ‘During Construction’ services. Completed 2020.

September 2011 – Current

Associate

Nicholas Plewman Architects + Associates specialise in designing and overseeing the construction of Hotel/Leisure/Hospitality and high-end residential projects. Responsibilities include:

• Design/Project Architect on a variety of Hotel, Leisure and high-end residential projects particular to remote and sensitive areas within South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia.

• Led numerous projects from first client brief through to close out. Engaging with clients, consultants and contractors, and leading an architectural team within Nicholas Plewman Architects through the entire design and building process.

• Tackling projects with difficult logistics due to site locations deep within protected and ecologically sensitive areas.

• Designing off-grid, self-sustainable buildings – All projects involved using PV solar, diesel generator, wastewater treatment, fresh water supply and treatment, or a combination thereof.

• Design/Project Architect on Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge, Okavango Delta, Botswana. A 24 bed luxury lodge with main guest areas, Back-of-house and staff components for &Beyond safari company. (http://www.andbeyond.com/) Nicholas Plewman Architects collaborated with Michaelis Boyd Associates of London, UK, through the design and early construction of the project. Completion date: August 2014. Construction Value: US$3million.

• Design/Project Architect on Morukuru Ocean House, De Hoop Nature Reserve, South Africa. A 10 bed luxury villa, entirely off grid and self-sustainable for Morukuru Family (http://www.morukuru.com/) Completion Date: February 2014. Construction Value: US$1.5million.

• Concept design team on Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp, Masai Mara, Kenya for &Beyond safari company. (http://www.andbeyond.com/). Completion Date: June 2014. Construction Value: $3.5million

• Design/Project Architect on Mabote Lodge, Waterberg, South Africa for private international clients. Completion Date: December 2015. Construction Value: US$1.5million.

• Design Architect/team member on New Maun International Airport Competition, Maun, Botswana, for the BCAA. Competition Entry Date: July 2016.

• Design/Project Architect on Jabali Ridge Lodge, Ruaha Reserve, Tanzania. A 24 bed luxury lodge with main guest areas, Back-of-House and staff components for the Asilia Group (http://www.asiliaafrica.com/)  Estimated Completion Date: February 2018. Estimated Construction Value: US$3.5million
   

Messaris Wapenaar Cole Architects, Johannesburg
January 2010 – August 2011
Messaris Wapenaar Cole Architects based in Johannesburg specialises in commercial and industrial projects. Responsibilities include:

• Employed as a Candidate Architect on a variety of commercial (airports, offices, hotels), residential, heavy industrial and mining developments within South Africa, Mozambique, Malawi, Gabon and Angola.

• Compiled conceptual design drawings required for meetings with clients.

• Compiled all construction drawings, layouts and schedules for tender and construction purposes on a variety of hospital, office and residential developments.

• Compiled and drew up planning submissions to council authorities.

• Co-ordinated all consultants’ information/documentation.

• Led Site meeting with relevant professionals and contractors

• Conducted Site investigations and studies in projects within Africa.

Andrews Sherlock and Partnerrs, London, United Kingdom
November 2007 – November 2008
A small architectural firm in London working hand-in-hand with the NHS. Responsibilities included:

• Employed as a Senior Architectural Technician on a variety of hospital, office and residential developments within the Greater London region.

• Placed on the ASP design team. Designed to strict NHS guidelines and building regulations in hospital projects.

• Compiled design drawings required for meetings with clients.

• Compiled tender and construction documentation.

• Compiled planning submissions.

• Co-ordinated all consultants’ drawings with design drawings.
